Default AToW & Arma 2

In one form or another we have been together as a tournament for over 18 months. We feel that there is plenty of desire for the tournament to continue for many more months. Therefore we need to look to the future and how we will evolve.

Arma 2 is due for release in Q1 2009 (Jan>Mar 2009), from what we have seen so far it seems to be a worthy successor to Arma. There are many improvements we as a tournament will see the benefit of. Therefore unless there are any major issues found, the Arma Theatre of War Tournament will be migrating to Arma 2.

Of course we cannot yet give a timescale as there is no official release date. It will take a small period of time to ensure a smooth transition and give time for the player-base to purchase the game. But we would expect to run 1 or possible 2 more campaigns before switching to the Arma 2.

We hope the advance notice gives everyone a chance to prepare to purchase the new version.
