OK the BTR Ace Vrs the ATOW BTR.
there is about 100 extra rounds of AGS.
the AGS fires so fast WOW i would say 3 times faster than the atow ver.
the missile is steerable.
im thinking the answer is either take off the missle or give the US the Bradly

Also the Optics on the LAV are now fixed and they were not in C1T1.

dunno how the LAV is doing, but BTR seem to find us behind trees and distance where we couldnt even see it.
needed 4 satchels and 1 AT to kill it. (i placed 2 stachels behind it, and it broke 3 tryes of it. in normal Arma2 2 satchels is enough to kill APC easily).

But i also shooted one AT round close to BTR (aimed at turret) and it went on fire (didnt kill the btr as i had options to hop in and died tho at same when i hopped in it)

But Dren, i took out a BTR today with 1 AT-4. Shot up the side between turret and the body. It was brand new, 1 user, low milage. It went on fire after that shot and after abou 15 seconds exploaded.

that what worryes me.
Satchels wont scrach them but good hit with AT is insta kill.

Satchels does other effective things to the vehicles if you test them to discover what they do. And when I mean effective, I mean satisfactorily does the job. Satchels do more than scratch the vehicles. The Army that does proper testing, will be rewarded with this info.

Currently I no longer see a problem with satchels. This may sound crazy but do the tests and if you test in a real world way you should agree.

Please note I have also put RPG18 rounds into the LAV which didnt KO it in one. I have satcheled the LAV which did not kill it, but killed the crew with overpressure which allowed me to capture it.

I was present in the BTR every time it came up against the LAV, it was a case of good spotting and communication that we were able to be so effective in hunting and killing the LAV. The distances we killed the LAV at, if you had spotted us first, you would have had us.

Tom, above was infantry perspective.
Many times we were hiding behind trees (many trees) and suddenly got naded or shooted by BTR. on foot, not in LAV

Aha I see. That will have been when I was spotting for moody, and Im rather good at spotting. If something looked out of the ordinary I would direct fire, but most of the time I could see you guys prone under the canopy or your feet.

But I do agree that the AGS fire rate needs to be dropped to C1 values along with the same ammo stock.

Is there any way to override ACE and use BIS LAV/BTR?
VM know the PBO to remove?

Yes Dren,
I cannot promise I can get it done before this Saturday.
I was working on lag, RallyPoints, and Halo Parachutes.

It appears that there is enough balance team support for three changes:

1) Restore the Zoom on the LAV
2) Change only the rate of AGS fire for the BTR.
3) Drop the AGS on the BTR down to 300 (minor in my point of view)

With the ability to transport extra AT in vehicles, I do not anticipate any more balance needs for these two vehicles.


Please correct me if I am wrong.

but aint above mean default BIS APC's :)
can you ask VM from ace guys what pbo's changes the BTR and LAV?

Unfortunately it is not that simple Dren. There are too many ACE features built into vehicles just to go back to BIS BTR and LAV.

We will investigate the grenade fire.

If we fix this we will look at the Mk19 and the AGS grenade launchers and adjust the rate of fire both armies vehicle mounted equipment.

PLEASE do not raise balance issues in the mod team projects area.

If there is a balance issue, the balance team will decide what to do, they and only they should then vote to instruct the mod-team to make a change.

Due process in the tournament is slowly degrading, which is not good.

Returned the AGS / MK19 rate of fire back to BIS levels.
This is fixed in the next AddonSync update.
