9600GT? get a better graphics card than that if your paying this much.
Norton internet security? buy Kaspersky. norton is not worth a penny
10 usb ports? the board somes with some and so does the case I doubt you will need 10 more.
no need for floppy drive really, but will be cheap so leave it
that "ultimate gaming nic" isnt any better than a cheap generic card. just use the onboard LAN.
Firewire isnt needed UNLESS you have a firewire device - do you?
Get 800 or 1066MHz RAM Geil is a good make but a 133MHz FSB chip will be better with 800/1066 Mem as opposed to 667. 1333MHz would be better BUT thats DDR3 and thats FAR to expensive right now.

Wow, well... thats like $4000 USD!! Honestly, you don't need to spend near that to have a great gaming rig. This i think, is overkill. And some parts aren't even needed.
My thoughts:
X-Clio SuperTower Black - $90 about average for a high end tower. Could find cheaper.
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 (4 x 3.0 GHZ) 1333FSB - 8 MB - Overkill, but it will at least last you a while. Good OC ability too.
ASUS SKT-775 COMMANDO S/L 1066FSB- $200, good overall gaming board. A bit pricey.
GEIL 4GB DDR2 667 CL5.0 DUAL CHANNEL BRUSH ALUMINUM - 4GB is overkill. RAM can be found cheap these days.
ASUS 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT GLACIATOR FAN - Good card. (updated) But if you're building a power rig, you can do much better.
HIPER POWER 880W Low Noise/SLI Ready - Wow, $200 PSU!? You can find the same wattage for lower cost.
500 GB SATA HDD UDMA 300 7200 16MB - Big HD is good.
250 GB SATA HDD UDMA 300 7200 8MB - Not sure why they throw a 2nd, smaller drive on also.
LG GGW-H20L Blu-Ray Disc Re-Writer & HD DVD-Rom SATA Black - Nice but few actually make use of a blue ray drive on the pc. Save the cash for a blue ray disk player for the living room.
ASUS DVD±RW 20x S-ATA DRW-2014L1T BLACK LIGHTSCRIBE (SATA) - Pretty much standard.
Floppy Disk Drive 1.44 MB - Black - Still needed?
Razer IAS Barracuda AC-1 Gaming 7.1 Sound Card + Barracuda HP-1 Gaming Headset - I have this headset but not the gaming card. Headset is pretty nice. Comfy. Sounds great. But the Creative X-Fi gaming card has better sound output.
4 Port Firewire IEEE 1394 PCI Card + FREE CABLE - Needed if you use firewire devices a lot. I never do.
KillerNIC M1 Network Card (Ultimate Online Gaming) - TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Every test ive read showed ZERO ping improvement, or such a slight one no advantage was ever gained. Ebay is full of people trying to sell theirs after buying one for $300 when they first came out. Suckers.
10 X USB 2.0 Ports - cool
ThermalTake CL-W0075 BIG WATER 735 LIQUID COOLER - Be aware if you go the direction of liquid cooling, you also commit to the maintenance of bleeding and refilling the water every year or so. Which can be a pain.
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-BIT - ppfft... vista. Be wary of 64bit. Some stuff don't play nice.
Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 - cool i guess. Needed.
Norton Internet Security 2008 - Use this and get ready for the most pesky attention needing software ever. I ripped it off the pc and put free AVAST on and love it.
Samsung SM2232BW 22" Widescreen TFT Monitor 2MS - Yummy! Your eyes will thank you.
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard - Have this and LOVE IT. You can drop TS overlay and use the keyboard LCD to see who's talking.
Razer Copperhead 2000 DPI Laser Mouse - Tempest Blue - Ive heard good things about this. But its also been called too sensitive and tough to aim with sometimes because its so precise.
Logitech Z-5400 5.1 Home Cinema Speaker System - Ah the sounds of war from every direction. Live in apartments or a dorm and prepare to receive your eviction notice. My logictech surround shook my apartment and now every room in my house.
My verdict is while this looks great. Its overkill in the big picture and you could build one for a 1/4 the cost which would preform the same.

Seems very too expensive, especially given that in australia you can buy a shit-hot gaming rig for $2000AUD (approximately 800 - 1000GBP), and buy a moderately excellent one for about $1500AUD.
Most of that cheapness, however, comes from assembling it yourself, which is easy to do.

Wow Super thanks for the advice, maybe im buying too much, im proberbly not include the firewire, watercoling, floppy drive, network card, and the anti virus, i will probably take the Vista down to 32 Bit, but what is the difference between the two ? And i had a Razor Mouse, and yes its quite sensitive, a bit too much, but it was comfy. I will probably stick to my Old Logitech G5, it used to do me good . Can i run ArmA and every over PC game on Vista ?? Well i need to start saving, i will probably go to a Pc shop which specialises in this stuff, buy all i need and build it my self, I built my 1st Pc at 13 by my self, worked like a Gem. But i had problems with the powerpack, and then it clanked out :( But one of my Mum;s mates gave me a Dell XPS, had that for about 8 months, Invested all of my paper round money in a new CPU fan, 4gb of ram, 500gb harddrive oh and a G11 Keyboard. I loved every second of it, i was on top of the world, then one day i come back and its gone :( :( :( Soo when i get to 16/17 i will have enough hopefully to get a really good CUstom pc up and running.

I say if you're after a gaming mouse buy a G9 they are F**king awsome. They do look a bit ugly but they are really comfy plus has changable grips to suit hand types and ajustable senitivety all the way up to 3200DPi. I got mine cheap off ebay (RRP=$120 AUD, mine $68 AUD (That was and still is cheaper than COD 4 were I live)) And is the G15 the red one or the blue one? As blue is sooo much better than the red one (Blue has 18G keys, Red 6G keys better looking LCD though) All the new ones are red. And those speakers are gonna have ya mum bitching bout how loud they are even on low

i can ask Ginsoakedboy if you want on my other tournament and you can talk to him...he built his PC for £2200 or something close to that and his is bloody shit hot. makes mine look 5 years old.
Top of the range everything with 2 of the best Nvidia cards.
With £2k (i assume you are using £ not dollars?) you can get a top of the range PC if you are building it that would put the rest of us to shame.
Send me a PM if you want to talk to him because he loves helping people spend large amounts of money on PC's and getting the best for their money. He knows all the best sites for the UK like the back of his hand :D I'll contact for him and get him to talk to you.

Get an E8400. Get 2gig ddr2 800 cas 4. Get HD4850/HD4870/9800gtx/8800gt sli/9800gtx sli/.... I think you get what I'm saying. For gaming E8400 is the best choice, Get the good deal graphics cards and the 9800gtx 8800gt or whatever if you want to do sli. SLI motherboards will cost more, and if you want a single card, get the best ATI cards. 4800 series. These are your main gaming parts.

Just to let you guys know, my PC cost $760, and I can max everything out, but I leave shadows at high because shadow lag in forests delays your keyboard, regardless of actual fps. I have an HD4870, E8400, 2 gigs ddr2 800 cas 4, GA-G31M-S2L microatx motherboard, rosewill YE dual fan case (with blue leds ; ) ), 600w power supply, 200gig 7200rpm sata, and a dvd drive. This lets me play arma very well. The only problem I run into is when I load up a giant city like paraiso or mostly corazol (worst fps killer town as we all know) with lots of men my fps drops to 35 average ranging from down spikes of 25(zooming in, and quick turns/scene changes) to 45. However, when I have 2 v 2 squads or when the unit density is that of battle day, my fps is around 40 to 60 even in the largest towns. And all this when my graphics are maxed out except for shadows at high. Which high vs very high shadows doesn't present any real eye candy difference. So, you could get amazing performance for $760 US. The level of detail is just amazing and the fps is playable all the time (just a bit down when you have 100 units in the same town).

Well, i was thinking of having 3 way SLi. But i really want to get the Nvidia GTX 280 GPU as well. But you need a motherboard which is compatible with it, which at the moment is only Nvidia motherboards which can run the Hybrid Engine.

If you want to get something in the price of the GTX280 then don't waste your money on that and get a HD4870X2. It is twice as fast as the GTX280 but the same price. Put that in CROSSFIREX you got the fastest graphics card setup known to man, faster than 3-way sli with the GTX280. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE GTX280, GET THE HD 4870 X2.
