whatever you do, DO NOT USE THE LATEST DRIVERS!! The latest drivers cut performance by 40%.

Here is a benchmark link:

:(
Was wondering why i had less FPS on ArmA...
To downgrade, do i have to uninstall and re install from scratch ?

It's the safest way, if you try to rollback the driver it can have conflicts with any other part of the nVidia software that you have installed.

Can someone post a link to the "older" drivers? I can't seem to find it on the nvidia's website.

Hi, thats good to know, my first play at arma yesterday since I bought it ended up with a crash and a screeching noise from my earphones! happened during the helicopter training mission, just as I was dropping the troops at the destination. :army_rolleyes:

have a geforce 7800 or something. will check driver details and card and check back to this thread. been a while since I used my pc for games.

Have just got a new graphics card - 8600gt 1gb memory, runs better now.No crashes at all so far. Also a 550 watt psu as mine was a second hand 350 before. Thats with the latest driver, but if thats correct about the driver I could be better off with an older version frame rate wise. I have the game on medium setting and a frame rate of about 35-50 on single player and so far about 25-35 on multiplayer. With the older card it was about 14.
