Our forum will be unavailable while we move hosts

I've just had confirmation from our new host that we are ready to move our forums across to them.

Of course this will involve some downtime, but we will keep it to the minimum possible.

The process will begin at 11 AM GMT Saturday 14th July 2008

At this time I will switch off these forums and take a backup.

During this time you will receive the following message

We are in the process of relocating to a new home.
This process will take a few hours so please check back soon to find out where we have moved to......

Administrators will be able to see the forum still but I ask them not to make any changes or posts as these will not be reflected on the new forum.

One the move is complete I will update the message with details of the new forum.

The current team speak server will be left up and running for now. But once the new forum is in place I will switch on the integration between the new forum and our new team speak server (more on this at the time).

The bulk of the work has now been completed. We still need to allow time for the updating of http://www.aram-tow.com URL to look at our new host which can be a few hours to a day or two depending on what mood the Internet is in :)

The main difference to point out is the 'gTeamSpeak' link on the black navigation bar near the top of the page. You should click this and it will take you to a page asking you to supply a password. Enter that password and press 'go'. This will create you an account on our new team speak server. The account name is random and cannot be changed, but it will automatically set your nickname to match your forum name and register you with the new TS server. We will no longer be giving out our TS server password, so no forum account now access to TS. We still need to complete the creation of our TS channels/rooms but this wont take too long. We will then stop using old old TS server.

The only thing I'm aware of which is not working at all is the registration for new members and I will be working to fix that ASAP.

There is also two small issues in how the coutnry flags and avatars are being shown in your user profile. I'm working on these also. If you find anything else please send me a PM.

Thank you all for your patience as the transfer and upgrade took much longer than expected. But I hope you enjoy the new features and improved performance we will be able to deliver.

Flag issue fixed.

Had to disable ability to post media (youtube, live link videos etc) for now as ithe current version seems to break our shout box.
