Nice start. But the vests will lesson the camouflage ability to blend in with the scenery. To be honest I do not know if you can do it better than what we have already. In terms of making them hard to see from a distance. In fact, I think it is very hard to see the current US Marines MEF uniforms from a distance. So if you are going to make another set they have to be better than the current ones with respect to ingame camouflage.

looking good, Haley. As a Commie I appreciate your effort. There is not a lot of quality love for the RedFor in ArmA. Although we would really like some new weapons - new cammies are cool if they turn out more effective than current issue.

The current MEF gear as well as your stuff looks excellent. Could you put up a side by side comparisons for each with with the current RH uniforms we are using and the 2MEF uniforms? That would be really helpful 'til we can try them ingame. My thoughts so far:

Solid colored TacVests are a big negative.

I like #1. Looks a bit like tiger maybe a bit too light. I love tiger. Most of my paintball camo is tiger.

#2 darker would be great for the north end of the island.

#3 is probably the best general purpose.

#4 reminds me of the 80's movie Red Dawn. "Wolverines!":D

Thank you for you're input. I am all about the Atow community here. I will give to both sides even though on Sundays I hate everyone of you. I removed the werid looking camo that reminds you of the 80's :P I have will be updating the first one soon with more camo.

I have been playing with both Units for the past couple of days. The Russian camo scares me. At 440 meters I could barely see this Russian running down the hill to a town. Overlord and Boomtap were there also. They had Default Russians.

I can tell you right now in the desert it is going to suck. The same goes for ours in the desert. Russians do not have a desert camo that I know of. They mosty have mixes of a lot of green wit some brown. For the Americans we have Desert camos but in we don't use them here in Atow. I suggest run to concealment for both teams when running across the desert.

Look at the US fireteam against a sand colored wall. Not best but not worst. US fireteam in the woods maybe not the best but pretty good. Since we play in a wide range of climates on a daily basis here at ATOW I would rather play with an average multipurpose camo like the US than something thats good only on half the field.

I'm all for the idea of new skins for each side. I just don't want to make them look too much like each other, as we start getting people to rely on the "Friendly Tags." Every time I trained, I made sure people would look at the soldier, not the tag. Using the uniform to ID friend or foe. As we move on in this tournament, this determination will become increasingly difficult. Please keep this in mind as we search for the right camo pattern for either side.

To me there are two easy ways of telling. 1. you are getting shot at, 2. The helmets are different you can tell at 1000meters away or up close the design is different which gives both sides away.
