What profile options do people use for SLI on ArmA?
I'm currently getting 0 FPS increase with SLI. I have two 9800GTXs running on Vista64.

They "say" arma does not recognize SLi. But when I was running 2 X 7900GT's in SLi , I did notice about a 15-20% fps increase.
One thing to make sure to check is look at your nVidia control panel. I forget the exact place to look, but i think it was in the game profiles. Where you can adjust every graphic setting on a game by game basis. Find the profile for arma.exe. Scroll down the list and make sure SLi is activated in the drop down list and that its using the mode that alternates every other frame, rather than split screen.
Also make sure you're using the latest nVidia drivers. Then again, it could be the wonderful Vista X64 thats killing your efforts. lol

i heard that ArmA dosnt recognise it, but i also heard a while ago that someone re-named the arma.exe to fear.exe and the game fear uses SLI, then when it was ran, it used SLI.
That might be crap tho :P

I wasn't assuming you were an idiot. But there are 3 or 4 SLi modes to choose from. Alternating frames is the best. I had SLi working with my 2 cards without renaming the exe. But you can still try it.

SLI is working fine in other games (Crysis loves SLI) but ArmA just doesn't want to play ball. I turned off VSync (forced) and tried each render method but no joy. So I'm back on the single-gpu option an vsync back on (I sometimes got over 100fps leading to some chronic tearing).
Since getting the new cards I seem to get massive whiteouts on screen when it's raining. It must be a driver issue with the 9800GTX.

Right, I tried renaming ArmA.exe to Fear.exe but I've not noticed any difference in performance.
Also, it seems the 'whiteout' problem is exclusive to Vista and fairly common. Someone posted a video showing the same problem I'm getting:

I've never seen that. I'm running Vista64.

Jimmy is getting it too, so it could be something to do with nVidia 8 and 9 series cards.

how to fix your issues - buy ATI :P
There are some issues with SLi for example at work yesterday we had 2x 8800 GTS Alpha Dog's which preformed worse in SLi than together. but since we dont sell them in packs of two it was the customers issue but we did try to sort it. nVidea - Epic Phail.

That also 'solves' the issue of good FPS, you know since nVidia cards are MILES better than ATI.
