Balance of Forces. Russian M1A1s and Cobras?

I know that the Russians for M1A1s and cobras for balance reasons, but couldn't the Russians have t80s or t90s, and kamovs or Mi-24s?

Then any remaining difference can be accounted for in price?

Or is this already being discussed?

It has been discussed, but here is the situation as it stands.


We all want to have each side with unique equipment.
We are not trying to achieve perfect balance, there will always be pros and cons to different pieces of equipment which you need to factor into your tactics. But we do need comparable equipment for each side.
The Russian M1A1 and Cobra will be replaced with suitable Russian equipment (T80/T90, kamovs or Mi-24s etc) as soon as someone releases a decent version.

To date only a hind has been released and this was pushing so many errors into the .rpt files that it pretty much brought the server to its knees.

Please stick with us and keep you eyes peeled for new releases from the Arma Community. Report it to us and we'll get it tested and if it's good and error free, we'll try and get it introduced to the tournament ASAP.

Gunther, a thread to check is the Campaign 2 Suggestions thread, it is very long but has lots of ideas for C2 including replacement of Russian Cobra and Russian Abrams.
