No Kill Messages

No Scoreboard

No Auto Reporting

No friendly/ enemy positions on map (Only BLUFORCE Tracker)

Just wanted to know what everyone thought of these ideas. We never really had a good discussion about these topics before.

No Kill Messages

Great idea, makes it hard to tell if you get a kill. Required you to check dead bodies. Adds to the fun and suspense.

No Scoreboard

Same as above

No Auto Reporting

Adds a ton of realism! Auto reporting spots targets for you and places a marker on the map. Not cool!

No friendly/ enemy positions on map (Only BLUFORCE Tracker)

Same as above. Will require teams to keep in contact MORE then they are doing now.

New here.

But thought I'd put my 2 cents worth in.

Great idea. I think it's what ArmA should be.

Arranging for squads to 'check in' every 10 minutes and update each other's positions on the map so there's full battlefield awareness is a great idea.

Having to actually check if you got a kill, and REALLY having to spot your enemy is also good. None of this, accidently autoreporting purely by fluke - even through dense trees.

Think about how many times you've gone: "Did I get that kill?" and checked your scoreboard to see if it's advanced? We've all done it once or twice against the AI. Take away kill messages and you'd probably start doing it against people - take away scoreboard, and then you'll be watching your back closely.

Haven't we already discussed these? Why are you starting a new thread these old topics?

Why the double post?

Anyway, someone already suggested removing the kill messages and there was a vote which showed more people wanted to keep them.

Not having friendlies showing on the map is a right pain IMO, TG does it and you just end up not knowing quite where you are and waste time to trying to figure it out.

The 1.09 patch will allow the scoreboard to not be shown until the end, which is good, there is also a mod out now that removes it. On the one hand kills don't matter the objectives do, but on the other, it's a laugh trying to get more kills than the other people in your squad.

These issues have already been discussed and voted on by the community. I'm sorry if the vote did not go in your favor, However we can not keep bringing up the same issues every week until we get the answer your looking for. Please wait for a reasonable period of time and ask the council for a revote. I am closing this thread because this discussion is already in several threads. thank you
