View Full Version : Crazy Idea!

I have this crazy idea. When I use TrueView it is such a pain only because the iron sights are so far away from my face. If you notice your buddies on the battlefield firing their weapons you will notice that their head never moves forward. Their is no animation when you bring up your sights for your cheek to rest on the stock.
So my crazy idea so for someone (because I defiantly don't possess the knowledge to do this) to create a animation for when soldiers pull up their sights. I was wondering what people who are experienced in ArmA Language and animation making think of this.

Well I know this was done in BF. But I don't know if it's truly necessary.

Are there any mods already out there which have added animation to the players? Im not sure if this is something that could be done and would look realistic. Not to mention, i would think its quite far down the "to-do" list with arma modders. But i do see your point in the field of realism.

Well I mean someone created TrueView. This is the first step. Now XAM made it to where you can't your your bionic vision and zoom in. That last step would be to add the animation of your head moving up on the stock of your weapon. This is needed in my opinion for simulated long to mid range engagements. And SLX created the animations to drag bodies...

So far what i know theres no tool to make animations.
SLX could have used some default arma animations, dont know for sure.
i would more like to see stance change like in tom clancy's earlyer Ghost recons.
So we could set our stance better than now.
hate when you are in crouch and cant just shoot over fence

SLX created their own animations. I played around with the beta. You could drag bodies, your arms would grab him and his body would life up.
