I used to be in the IC tournament and was wondering if you could tell me/ try and persude me to join this one ;)

All The best

All I can tell you is that this is not IC ArmA. That may be obivious by the name, however the truth is within the ATOW community.

Now about us trying to persude you to join our Community. Perhaps a better question is, how are you going to persude us to take you? :)

i was wondering do you have different squadrons or platoons?

yes, each army has their own setup but both have separate squads for their infantry as well as specialist squads, Armour, air, special forces etc.

I'm in the Russian catering core, preparing all of the big can's of whoop arse we unleash on the American side :D

I am in the US Laundry Service (Customer Complaints Department) making sure that there is not too much startch in the Officers collars. :)

I have been on detachment recently from my beloved Laudry Room on the Marine HQ base to the Unit dedicated to counter the Russian's catering 'core' (their spelling not mine, corpse would be better imo). You know about anti-aircraft systems? Well consider us to be Anti-pasta. Our job is to knock the stuffing out of the Russian's turkeys.

S**t gotta go! I left the iron on too long on the generals shirt again. :)

well caught wolf but the correct spelling should have been corps if your speaking the Queen's Enlgish and all of that chap.

We look forward to getting you into the tourny Rob.Moore. As for sniping, we actually have kit limits for the battlefield. This prevents things like massive 20 v 20 sniper battles or everyone running around with their own AT on their backs. The key is to balance fun and realism.

Ah right i see, so you dont have assigned snipers?

wouldnt that be a better idea? So then you dont get people arguing over who wants what?

sorry if im being a hassle :D

There is no arguing, your general will allocate the role of sniper or marksman to a particular squad. The squad CO then decides who is the best person to fill that role.

Although it won't happen straight away as we're working on ensuring the rest of the first campaign runs smoothly, don't be surprised if in the furture you have to qualify to be allowed to fill the specialist weapon roles

Or if your in the Catering Corps, training to fill your rolls.

'do you want fries with that?'

Don't worry Rob, you can always apply for Armor...

Cause we've got 120MM sniper guns with powerfull zoom :D

I think the idea of having to 'pass a test' before you can use specialist weapons would be a great idea.

By making a sniper team, i think you could bring an extra aspect to the tournament, pairing people up (spotter, shooter) working in their own team, within a team if that makes sense

Goldie "Hartman" Goldman strikes again!

Rob, on US side Sniper kit is reserved for Recon squad. To grab sniper you need to first show that you are good on field (doesent mean kill/death ratio, more of listening leader etc..), active and pass all needed cert's for recon.
Hard and long way, but worth to aim for!

cool see you on TS.

This tournements good by the way cos the people in charge are mature but still remember that Arma is about fun first.

The guys that put this together put that idea at the forfront of all things about this mod and community. And it is really paying off as the best place to play organized PvP battles.

The sooner you sign up to an army the better. Anyone joining will have to go thrugh a bootcamp before attending our campaign.
