ModDB.com is currently in the voting stage for their mods of the year.

A game, 1944 D-Day : Operation Overlord, I've been watching (and some others here I know) for a couple of years is nominated for Indie Game of the Year. I think its in line with the type of sim players we have around here. It is a WWII sim but nothing on the scale or realism levels I've ever come close to seeing. I could blabber on about it for hours.:D but I'd rather ya'll check it out on your own and maybe throw a vote their way if you like what you see.

In 8 years of online gaming with all the people asking for donations there are only 2 I have donated to. Our community here at T.O.W. and this game, 1944 D-Day. Donating to them gave me more acess to their WIP and made me giddy with anticipation. Unfortunately, I signed a NDA.

Guys check out that site, if only to look at the stupid questions in the 'hall of fame' FAQ's :)
LMAO

I've also been watching this for ages, as I did with OFP before it came out. If they can deliver all of the things they say they will it will be a fantastic game.

Is there any vids of any aspects of this? Tried youtube but to no avail.

Very nice (if they ever get it working)

Steveak44 are you a beta tester ?

PS they say it's not a MOD but a full game

I don't know if I can play this game. I have read the FAQ's and if Canadians Can't fall in love or Go to the bathroom then I'll have to pass.

It is a full game. MODdb.com does a number of awards and 1944 is up for Indie Game of the Year. (See thread starter. :) )

I applied to be a beta tester but have not heard back. There are lots of WIP pics and some wave sound files, but no vids have been released yet. If I remember correctly, a vid should be released this month and shortly thereafter a testing area for donators.

Nhor,
Regarding Canadians...I didn't know they had bathrooms up there and I don't think they want to promote animal abuse. :D
