Comments have been passed over the text currently at the bottom of my sig.
It a quote from a song called "Forgotten Sons" *,about the recruitment into the UK army during the troubles in Norther Ireland. Though again you easily apply it to more current combat locations. ( Iraqs flag is also a tricolor )
While the text obviously borrows heavily from twenty third psalm ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psalm_23 ), it does not seek to mock "the good book".
The reference of "minister" is to the minister of defence sending his "children", the soldiers out to fight and die, in the name of political motives, while they sit safe in Whitehall.
The "kingdom" actually being a reference to the United Kingdom.
Its a political not a religious statement, which borrows from a psalm about the role of the protector to suggest deriliction of duty by current politicians over the safety of Her Majesty's forces.
Sorry if any one is offended, but for the moment like Uk forces in Iraq it stays.
