Three years after the conflict in Chernarus, portrayed in the original ARMA II, a new flashpoint in the Green Sea region heats up and coalition forces led by the US Army are sent to Takistan to quickly restore peace and prevent further civilian casualties.

Set into the new, visually attractive environment of hilly central Asia, Operation Arrowhead will offer realistic combat simulation experience in a modern day setting with unprecedented freedom of movement, actions and tactics. Players will enlist into various roles within the US Army, from basic infantrymen, through special operatives, to pilots and tank crew in this new installment in the award winning line up of military simulators for PC from Bohemia Interactive.

Except for the new map with it. But yes, I wish they would fix more of the bugs before putting out a cash grab like this. Maybe they need the money to pay for the patches.

Can't wait screens of US Army units, because Marines in A2 was made very cool as army - vehicles(m1a1,lav25,aav) , helis(uh1,osprey), recon units etc.

Last I heard multicam wasn't going to be implemented until around 2014... then again I've been out of the service for 8 years.

They have finally figured (Don;t know who the idiot is that tested it) The ACUs stand out like a sore thumb.

On the Expansion, I thought this was by an independent company??

If they are doing a coalition senario, why not do one of the many other nato contrys.

If they are doing a coalition, how do you know you won't also see other nato countries in it as well?

Could be a welcome addon to the game but would have been nice to have had the vehicles and items in the original game but hopefully it will create some worth while additions to the battle days

ACU is the new army Uniform. We switched over from Woodland and DCU several years ago.Multicam was and is still being used for testing and evaluation in some selected units like SOC.The Army is too invested into ACU.

I did not like switching from DCU after my first deployment to the sandbox but the ACU has grown on me,the collars are a lot better, they don't get hung up when your wearing your OTV/TA50 and so are the other features compared to what we had before. Its a lot simpler then the Jarines with their 2 colors(1 uniform for woods/jungle and another for desert)where as we follow the KISS method and only need 1 for all theaters.Don't get me wrong though, multicam is an effective pattern and I did like it better then the ACU,I still do.It just may become standard issue some day.

The last 10 years have really thrown a sabo into the cog wheels and for the better. All sorts of approved gear and other shit where as before this war it was pretty strict. When I enlisted we did not have a lot of the gear we have now.Half way through my career a lot changed. It was great to see. From the M16A2 to the M4.From shit canteens to camelbaks, crappy old M17 gas masks with the cheek filters to the M40 series masks.Boots, uniforms, new and more comfortable rucksacks, privately bought gear of all sorts and types.Standard issue kind of went out the door. There really is no such thing during a war.

So assuming I can get a similar deal as I did for ArmaII would that make the expansion pack more appealing.

New Islands if noting else are always a bonus.

More appealing for sure because it will bring my branch of service back to the game and a new official map is always a plus.
